swimmin' in my pool

We are trying to be better about making Sunday a day of rest so this past Sunday we decided to try out our new pool. Although the weather was getting warmer during the day our nights are still pretty cold (the other day we broke the 1950 record of 52 for the low with 51 degrees...yes, in July!) so the water was still a little chilly. But my mother-in-law suggested boiling water and adding that. We added about 6 big buckets full to warm it up to a tolerable temperature. Once you went numb it wasn't so bad. Ha ha. We got out Lyla's water float and splashed around.

This one was actually taken a few days earlier when we were testing out the waters. It was too cold but Lyla loved kicking in it.
She had such a fun time driving her boat!

Kyle was playing "shark" with Lyla. It was pretty funny!
