happy 1st of july???

Last night we went to see the fireworks that a neighboring town was shooting off. Yes, I know it's only July 1st but Connecticans are a little weird. Many towns in this area have firework displays but very few of them are on July 4th. Kyle and I can't figure it out. And it's even more silly this year since the 4th of July is on a Saturday. There are fireworks in some towns starting as early as June 27th and go as late as July 12th. Either way, we celebrated Independence Day a little early and enjoyed the fireworks. For a small town, we thought they were pretty good. We got Lyla dressed in her jammies hoping she would fall asleep (it was 9:40 when they started shooting them off) but she decided she'd rather watch the show instead. She seemed to enjoy them quite a bit which I was glad for. So, Happy 1st of July I guess...!
