We have lots of pick-your-own farms around here. I especially like Rose's Berry Farm in Glastonbury. It's about 25 minutes away but there's always good fruit to pick from and they have a good variety. They grow strawberries, raspberries (red & yellow), blueberries, blackberries, pumpkins, apples and Christmas trees. We went a few weeks ago and picked strawberries and decided to come back for the raspberries. In a few weeks we'll also pick blueberries because they're too cheap not to pick. They are $2.25 per pound. Yes, I said pound. Last year I think I picked 7 pounds. I guess I got a little carried away but we ate them all. So anyway, here's a few pictures from our raspberry trip. Each time we tried to get one of the three of us, Lyla would reach her hand into the berry container and squish them. It was pretty funny except that I didn't have something to wipe her hand with so I had to lick them off. I wasn't sure what else to do!

Yum, fresh berries! Lyla looks SO happy being outside with you guys! =-)
