everyday lyla

Since we live so far away you don't get the chance to see who Lyla really is. You miss out on the funny quirks she has and the silly things she does. You don't see the everyday moments that really define her so Ithought I'd fill you in a little:

*She has great facial expressions. For no rhyme or reason she scrunches her nose up, eyes all squinted and lips pursed out a bit:
*With her mouth mostly shut she will blow air out of the corner of her mouth:

*Whenever she hears music she starts dancing.
*She's ALWAYS moving. She can't sit still for the life of her. She's always moving about, looking around and checking things out. It seems like she's frequently on a mission:
*She can clap, wave and give hi-fives. She also plays Indian by taping her hand over her mouth.
*She knows how to pin you and then after we count to three she pats the ground as if to say she's won the match.

*Has big beautiful blue eyes that make your heart melt and a smile that's contagious:

*She loves eating. Some of her favorites are fruit, cheese, prunes and avacado.

*She only drinks out of sippy cups with straws.

*She prefers her fruit to be in grown-up size pieces:

*She loves being scared by someone. You say boo, she jumps and then giggles like crazy.

*One of her favorite games is coming up behind someone, mainly me, tapping me and then waiting for me to act surprised. Unrolling the toilet paper is another (unapproved) favorite .

*Lyla only sits still for story time when she's in control of the book.

*She is really good at climbing UP stairs.

*Her "lovey" is actually a swaddle blanket.

So that's a peek into what I get to see on a daily basis. She's fully of life and we love her dearly!
