Yum, Yum, Yum

Originally we thought that we'd wait to start Lyla on solids until she was six months old. With all her gasiness problems we thought it'd be better for her digestive system to wait. But after weeks of her staring us down when we ate and constantly reaching for our food, we felt like we should go ahead and start her on cereal. She was five months exactly when we introduced her to yummy rice cereal.

This video was taken the day before we started her on solids. I had a cherry and was giving her a taste. The video doesn't show it very well but she practically attacked my fingers trying to get to the cherry. She loved licking the fruit!
Some of her first bites of cereal. She polished off 1 tablespoon the very first night.
Here she is grabbing for the bowl. She was very excited to try the cereal.
This was a few days later. She is so squirmy it can be hard to feed her and not get it all over. She didn't seem to mind.
Apparently I wasn't feeding her quick enough. In between bites she'd munch on the high chair. Kyle wonders what the rice cereal REALLY tastes like. :-)
