happy 30th birthday daddy

Since Kyle was turning the big 3-0 I thought he deserved an extra special birthday. He's been talking about putting in a basketball court for the past two years so we decided that we'd finally put one in. But it wasn't as simple as pouring asphalt and digging a hole for the hoop. Quickly we realized we were going to need a retaining wall and then adding in the asphalt was a month long process (first they dig the ground and put down stone, then after a month they come back and pour the asphalt) and then finally we were able to put in the hoop. We finished the hoop late Wednesday night just in time for Kyle's birthday on Thursday. And of course, he had to take his first shot to christen the hoop. I won't tell you if he made it or not... :-) Happy 30th birthday Kyle!
