Meeting Ethan

A few weeks ago Lyla and I got to go down to Florida to meet my nephew/her niece Ethan. It was such a fun time holding little Ethan and watching Lyla with him. She was so sweet, very gentle and kind. At one point he was in his car seat crying and she went over to him and started rocking the car seat. Other times when he was crying she would go get her beloved blankie and puppy and lay them across Ethan.

Lyla recently learned all of her body parts and thought it would be fun to find Ethans too. She's touching his head now but earlier she found his eyes and his nose. He didn't seem to mind a finger poking him.

One day we went to a local park. Lyla LOVES slides right now. Last year it was the swing but this year she wants nothing to do with the swings. As soon as she gets down the slide she starts signing "more".

Lyla was sweet to give Ethan kisses.
