stealing presents

Lyla LOVES having presents under the tree. Since we live so far away from everyone we have been receiving presents in the mail which I then put under the tree. I could wait until Christmas to bring them out but I like seeing the presents under the tree now. But the trick this year has been KEEPING them under the tree. Lyla creeps up on the presents, surveys them to see which will be easiest to grab for a quick getway, grabs the selected present (or two!) and runs. She likes biting the wrapping paper and some of these smaller presents from her great grandma make it easier to hold and munch. I love how in the last picture she is giving me a look as though she's shocked I'm accusing her of having something she shouldn't. She cracks me up.
