Keeping Busy

The other day it was 94 degrees here! Way hot for spring. Since the following day was only supposed to be 68 I didn't want to turn on the air. We opened the windows but it was still super hot in the house. To cool down Lyla and I got on our swimsuits and went "swimming" in our huge jaccuzi tub. I got out her pool float and her bath squirting toys and we played for awhile. We had fun and it was a great way to cool off. Here she is sporting her cute swimsuit chillin' in her float.
We finally bought Lyla an exersaucer. Here she is trying it out for the first time. She seems to really like it. There's all sorts of fun things that talk and make music. Some of the things are still pretty advanced for her but she's a smart cookie and attempts to work all the buttons.

Kyle isn't wasting any time teaching Lyla how to hold a basketball. As if that's a surprise!
Ta da! Lyla learned how to roll over a few weeks ago. Here's a picture of her right after she rolled over.

One night she kept sticking her tongue out like a lizard. It was pretty funny. I've read that it is a good thing as it helps with muscle development.

Busted! Lyla has learned how to take off her socks. It's a fun game for her. I put them on and then she pulls them off.

My sister and brother-in-law came to visit a few weeks ago. They were sweet and kicked Kyle and I out of the house to go have dinner while they babysat Lyla for us. It was bath night so they had to give her a bath. Fortunately with my sister being a nurse on post L&D, she knows all about bathing babies! Here she is, all squeeky clean. Oh and if you ever see Lyla in something really cute, it's probably from my sister. She likes to spoil Lyla. I'm pretty sure she's bought half of what's in Lyla's closet. :-)
